Genevieve Yue is a current CFD postdoctoral fellow at Macalester College, and in 2013 she will begin as Assistant Professor of Culture and Media at Eugene Lang College, The New School for Liberal Arts. She received her Ph.D. in the Critical Studies program at the School of Cinematic Arts, University of Southern California. She is co-editor of Discourse: Journal for Theoretical Studies in Media and Culture, and her essays and criticism have appeared in Reverse Shot, Grey Room, The Times Literary Supplement, The LA Weekly, Cinema Scope, Artforum.com, Film Comment, and Film Quarterly. She programs films independently and from 2009–2012 was an associate programmer at Los Angeles Filmforum. Her research interests include American experimental film and video, feminist film theory, contemporary East Asian cinema, and media history and theory.

Genevieve is also co-director of Lettre Sauvage, a letterpress imprint she founded in 2003 with Fiona Spring and Cameron Leggett. They maintain a blog and host a semi-annual poetry contest.
